With its multi-function capability, the Limpet™ solves height safety and structural access challenges, faster, more simply and at a lower cost than alternatives. With full hoisting and lowering capabilities as well as multi-directional fall arrest and climb assist, the Limpet™ provides a fixed or semi-portable solution to working at height in the construction, building maintenance and tower crane sectors, among others.

Building Maintenance, Construction and Façade Access

The Limpet™ can address critical applications in the building maintenance and façade access sectors. It can be used as a means of securing workers inside suspended platforms or other access systems, or as the means of access itself, complementing or entirely substituting expensive and time-consuming rope access solutions.

The Limpet™ takes in and pays out rope as users move towards or away from the unit, and arrests any slip or fall almost instantly (10mm vertical displacement) making it the best horizontal safety line solution for workers on roofs.

Tower Cranes

The Limpet™ solves several safety issues prevalent in the tower crane sector. Many cranes still require operators to use long ladders to reach and descend from the cabin. By using the fall prevention and climb assist capabilities of the Limpet™, operators will be safer, healthier and more productive.

In addition to protecting the ladder climb, the Limpet™ can also be used to provide remote rescue functions for operatives moving along the crane arm. The Limpet™ provides significant speed and ease of use advantages over standard rope based rescue and evacuation procedures.
