The Limpet® L2 is an innovative powered climb assist safety system with fully integrated fall prevention capabilities and Activity Software that allows usage to be recorded and monitored. 

The Limpet® L2 combines Intelligent Climb Assist® with Proactive Fall Prevention capability. It can provide assistance up to 90% of the operators weight, including any tools they are carrying, and because fall protection is fully integrated into the system, any slip is immediately arrested.

Activity Software enhances security and O&M cost effectiveness

  • A 'black box’ data recorder for all activity on the Limpet® safety line. Site supervisors can monitor levels of turbine access by employees and contractors, and by linking to a SCADA system, data can be viewed in real time from a remote location.
  • Remote diagnostic capability allows service intervals to be increased, reducing the number of inspection trips and associated costs
Wireless control system increases flexibility and cost effectiveness 

  • Ruggedized, portable wireless control unit; carried by the technician and displays information about the status of the Limpet® unit and provides troubleshooting capability if required
  • Silent running feature; very low levels of mechanical noise when in operation allows workers to communicate easily inside the tower
